RLN Machining is a small multi-service machine shop.  I specialize in small jobs utilizing lathes, mills, and CNC machines.  I have been a machinist for over 25 years, preferring small, precision jobs.  I became interested in Pinewood Derby Cars about 6 years ago when my son became a Tiger Cub Scout.  Since that time my son and I have learned many ways to improve the speed and performance of our cars, winning many races.  My hope is to continue to develop new ways to enhance the performance of Pinewood Derby Cars and be able to make that available to my customers.

The Pinewood Derby is one of the most popular events in Cub Scouting.  Every year more than a million boys and parents team up to carve, decorate, weigh, adjust, fret over, and finally race a Pinewood derby Car.  As of 1991, more than 81 million Pinewood derby model car kits have been sold.
